Walton Bridge Breakfast Club

Sunday 27th April 2014

09:00hrs - 12:00hrs (approx)

Walton Lane Riverside Car Park,
Walton-on-Thames,
Surrey, KT12 1QW (ish)

Google Maps Link...

*** Pre-1990 cars only please! ***

Come along to the glorious riverside in Walton-on-Thames for some good old fried grub (no calorie counting here thanks!!!), a mug of hot tea and a chance to have a look at a superb and varied selection of wonderful classic vehicles...

This is just a little, local meet so all makes & types of classic vehicle (pre-1990) are more than welcome to attend... Variation is the key here so don't be shy! Cars, trucks, buses, motorbikes and planes (or maybe not planes!!!) are all welcome if that's what you've got!!!

Please be aware that although the car park is pretty large other members of the public will be using it also so it is all based on a first come, first gets a space rule...

Please drive carefully and responsibly in the car park as other people will be carelessy wandering around in there...!!! Caution is the key...!!!

Bring your vehicle, bring your family, bring your friends and don't forget to bring a camera!

So please do spread the word far and wide and let everyone (and I mean everone!) know about this as I want this to be a ruddy good one...

See you there (I hope!)...

For more info' please email me on [email protected]

Hello there sir, thanks for posting...

I want to make this a sub-regular meet, maybe doing it 3 or 4 times a year. I don't want to overdo it as I want each meet to be as special as possible so I don't want it to occur too often.

At the moment I'm thinking the last Sunday of April, July and October...

I believe there is a height restriction there folks... I can get my VW Transporter van (low roof) in there with no problems but I'd imagine you wouldn't get anything that much taller in than that...

I have to admit that I hadn't thought of that little detail (I knew I'd forget something!)...

I will have to see if there is something that can be done about the height restrictions...!!!

Otherwise taller vehicles will have to park under the bridge area which is just down from the car park (about 100 metres or so) and is not restricted...

I checked at the carpark yesterday and there is a 2.1 metre height restriction... There is very (VERY!!!) limited parking under the bridge for vehicles that are over this height.

This is shaping up to be (I hope) a really good and varied meet so do keep spreading the word far and wide as I'd really like this to be something that can happen 2-3 times a year...

Thanks to you all...!

Well folks, it's this Sunday so if you can make it (even for half an hour or so) please do as I just want to get as many classic/interesting motors down to Walton Bridge as possible...!!!

I've got some basic stickers made up to hand out to attendees so if that doesn't tempt you what on Earth will...?!?!?!

Anyhow, this is a great location and I'd love for it to be a success so please do spread the word and if you can come down please do come down...

Many thanks to one and all in advance!

I went to this in my '66 Cadillac - there were probably around a couple of dozen cars there, mainly old British tin (Jensons, Triumphs, Escorts, etc.), a spattering of yanks (Mustangs, Firebirds etc). I didn't take any pics, but I found some on Flickr... click on the link, and the ones from the meet start from the pic of recovery truck (?!) and go up to the dark-coloured '83 Capri. No customs or rods as such (unless you count the VW Caddy), but maybe next time?
