if you get stuck I do have a 3869942 with a '66 date code and a pair of 3964291 heads which were as well as the '69 435 hp 427 were sold as a service head for the3919840. The ones I have do have the earlier washered spark plugs.
Thanks for your reply, I have bought a 68 corvette that is dissembled ,the original engine went missing and I am just seeing if anybody has a correct block and heads. I have a 67 / 351 4 bolt that comes with the car that is a complete engine with the tripower on top,so am ok for an engine with the correct set up. It's just that I am a numbers freak. This will take me 2 years to do so no desperate hurry, please keep me in mind if you find one, I can go to Classic Engine in the US if I have to,but will probably go with the 351 that is the correct 435 hp.
Many thanks John
