Moving on to another area of my Mk2 Consul and have removed the drivers door and stripped all paint back to bare metal on the door posts and sill to see what needs repairing, which happily is only one small area. The door needs some work though so I want to strip the door to repair it but its had loads of what looks like waxol sprayed inside, whats the best way of removing this stuff, its real thick in places and you cant really get in to scrape it off ?

I used thinners. Be careful as it can soften the paint a bit.
