What i need to know is what do you think I need in the way of front springs ? This is for a set of Capri 2.8i Billstiens that have been converted to 2 1/4 coilovers this is for a 100e with a 360 Smallblock Chrysler fitted with 904 auto trans ?

The easiest way if from a spring of known poundage . The piston needs to be at 2/3rds extended when sat FULLY loaded , that's oil water ,glass interior etc.Spings are rated at lbs per square inch so if you fit a spring on a 6 inch stroke piston that goes half way down at 300 lb rate simple maths shows it needs to be 400 lb rate to get it at 4 inch extension.


I know for fact that the front end of a 100E with a Pinto in weighs in at 650 all in , tested at SVA last Friday , so that shoud give you a good starting point for your spring rate.:)
