Got an old 'barn' type tool box which I keep the crap tools in - bought it 42 years ago. Also got and old Hilka af/whitworth/metric socket set with many of the bits missing which sometimes get used. I also have various tools, again 40 years old from when I did my toolmaking apprenticeship and some of my late fathers mike's and guages etc from 50 years + ago.

this is the oldest tool i have .
used it to paint a motorcycle tank years ago never used it since.
i dont know how old but all the pipes are made in led .
all it says on it is cranco on one side and birmingham on the other side of the handle..

I've got an old sidevalve valve spring compressor that was my grandpa's. Never worked out what sort of engine it could be for until I got a sidevalve

Don't use many old tools as such, although our arc welder is about 25 years old, and still going strong. Have got a few old tools though, like an old glass Redex dispenser (If that's you call it) for putting Redex in cylinders. Not sure how old it is or what it is worth though.

use it almost weekly.
ive also got a couple of lead sprayguns,but its a long time since they saw action,Bry

the old foreman at a bodyshop i used to work at had loads of homemade tools he used almost daily, stuff he'd made when he was an apprentice, most of them seemed to be made up from old leaf springs :tup:

I was given my compressor by a guy at work in the seventies whose father had it in his Wimbledon bodyshop in the fifties. It's like a huge old stationary engine and sounds like one but works fine still! All I've ever done is change a capacitor and fit a bigger reservoir to it. Think its Aerostyle or similair.
Along with that I started building my tool collection in 1971...they all still work fine. Just wonder what will happen to it all when I go!

using all my dads tools which I got when he passed away, lots of them go back to early 60's or so. My compressor was probabley on the Ark with Noah though.
