Does anyone have a diagram or detailled advice on how to do this? Engine and ignition are from 2 litre Sierra and the module is flat black bakelite on an ally heatsink, it's a Motorcraft item with 6 pins. It's labelled 83BB 12A199 B3A. I never had the plug that goes with it so I made one up. This means I never knew what colour the wires going to the pins were.

There are some diagrams in the Interweb but they conflict in terms of the order & function of the pins, although they are consistent on the colours of the wires - see below.

I understand that adding this module is a fairly common upgrade. Has anyone recently wired one up or know how it is done. Also does anyone have advice on which wire from the module connects to which wire at the dizzy?

1. From the Irish Kit Car Club (honestly!)

Black to Coil +ve
Green to Coil -ve tacho' feed
Black/Green Feed from Starter (engine crank) wire
Green/Yellow to Distributor plug
Black/Red to Distributor Plug
Brown to Earth

2. From the Robin Hood Kit Car Club

Pin Number------Function---------------------------------Wire Colour
1----------------To Coil -ve Pin 1 & Rev Counter supply------Green
2----------------To Coil +ve Pin 15 on Ignition Switch--------Black
3----------------To Ignition switch 50-----------------------Black/Green
4----------------To Pin 1 on Induction Distributor------------Green/Yellow
5----------------To Pin 15 on Induction Distributor-----------Black/Red
6----------------Earth--------------------------------------Brown

3. From Antony's Workshop - Capri Restoration Website

Wiring loom from control box
A. Brown - Earth
B. Green - To the coil negative terminal, if your car is fitted with a tachometer, you can connect this wire to the original wire that runs between the tacho and the coil negative terminal.
C. Black/Green cranking feed. Connect to the appropriate terminal on the starter.
D & E. Black - Common ignition feed connect to the coil positive terminal this should pick up the "ignition on" live which will be via the ballast resistor.
Black/Red & Green/Yellow both connect to the multiplug on the distributor.

I wired mine per the Turbosport diagram . Couple of the colours disagreed as mine are Transit units rather than Sierra but I just counted the pin number and wired it accordingly, done 3 like that now and all working.

Prettys sure 83BB denotes Sierra, Mark will know for sure, you could try googling to check if Transit / Sierra or Capri.

In the first Turbosports diagram the wires from Pins 3 & 4 go to the dizzy, in second diagram it's the wires from Pins 5 & 6.

So I presume one diagram is for Sierra and the other Transit???? Which is which?
