i my dears am in the enviable position of owning a pair of 18x3 radir wheels.could any of your readers advise as to what tyre one could put on these beasts?i presume i am looking at motorcycle tyres,if so ineed a square looking profile,can anyone advise ta muchly.

I wouldn't use bike tyres m8, they are not designed for cars, Give Russ at R&R a call as they are the importers of that wheel.

cheers steve i did ask him a while bak,but he said most people use motorcycle tyres.help! p.s. i,ve still got those t coupe side window garnish,s if you want to mould them for your coupe?

Bike tyres will be far too soft and will wear out in no time whatsoever.

I've heard tell that motorcycle tyres won't take the side-loading when cornering, although that's never seemed to stop people using them on Fad T's. The wear rate might be high, but they're cheap enough to replace regularly.... Alternatively, there's a sidecar tyre known as 'Triple Duty' which is designed to take side loads as sidecar outfits don't bank around corners anyway:

It also depends on what vehicle and what look you're after. Excelsior do a 4.50x18 car tyre, but it's a very old looking pattern:

I got some Lucas tyres in 4.50x18 for a bike I was building, but they're actually car tyres, just with a rounded profile:

cheers for all the input ladies,i will check out all they links asap.dont want to risk safety at all,but still want the look of laurel and hardys,got 10s on the back and want skinnys on the front.fad tees do use em,if they will take the strain i dont mind replacing them,sort of suckit and see?any further input gratefully accepted.and cheers stitch for your comment,it means a lot.x.
