What was topping the charts, number one, when you passed your driving test ?
For me it was "Wandering Star", Lee Marvin.

Blimey, you got a good memory Malc !
Cant remember what I did yesterday . . . .
This would´nt stand today and it should´nt have back then but my instructor
picked me up lunchtime at Luton Tech.
We did the hour lesson then had food in whatever pub was nearby.
That bloody tune always seemed to be playing.
That´s why I remember it so well.

When I took my first test (f***ed up the parallel parking) it was Blur- Country House. Bobbins.

When I eventually passed It was the charity cover of Perfect Day (the Lou Reed song). Double bobbins.
