Aftermarket shifter compatibility with Ford C3 Tranny

Hi There,

I want to fit a B&M shifter to a C3 transmission, but the shifter spec only mentions the common US C4 and C6 transmissions.

The C3 has the same shift pattern, so I'm thinking that either the cable will go straight on or there will just be a small amount of work to make up a support bracket or similar.

I'm planning on having a good look into this over the winter, but thought I'd ask first if anyone has done this??? :smoke:

i've fitted lots of different shifters to mismatched trannys. check shifter cable travel from park to 1st. then move the box shift lever from park to 1st measuring travel at the cable attachment point. these travel measurements need to be the same. its simply a case of extending or shortening the box lever til they are. neil. any questions pm me.

What Neil said, but as you say they are the same pattern so it should work...

If it does let me know, because I want a different shifter for mine...!!!
